About Me

I’m a writer from Garber, Oklahoma, where I first fell in love with storytelling at a young age. That interest stayed with me and eventually led me to the University of Oklahoma, where I studied journalism and began to better understand not just how stories are told, but why they matter.

During that time, I explored storytelling in as many forms as I could. I published various pieces of writing and created more than ten short films, experimenting with different ways to capture emotion and meaning across mediums. My work has since been recognized by Sports Illustrated, The Palm Beach Post and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and in 2016, I was featured in a commercial for NASA—an early milestone that made everything feel a little more real.

Today, I live in Oklahoma and work in philanthropy, where storytelling takes on a different kind of purpose. Whether I’m writing or working professionally, I’m driven by the same idea: that stories connect people, preserve meaning and leave something behind that matters.

Outside of writing, I spend my time behind a camera, on the road or outdoors—backpacking, traveling and occasionally storm chasing. I love to cook, read, run and experience live music whenever I can. I also play the saxophone and basketball. If you’re curious, my favorite artist is Lord Huron, and my favorite novel is Meant to Be.

My Story

Stories have always been my way of understanding the world and connecting with others, capturing the moments that reveal who we are. They remind us that every life has meaning, every voice matters and the small details of our hearts make life richer and more wondrous.
