About Me
Kevin Severin is a writer from Garber, Oklahoma, where he first discovered his love for storytelling at a young age. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a degree in journalism, a foundation that continues to shape his voice and approach to narrative.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a degree in journalism. During that time, he published various pieces of writing and created more than ten short films, experimenting with different ways to tell a story and learning how emotion can live across mediums. His work has been recognized by Sports Illustrated, The Palm Beach Post, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In 2016, he was featured in a commercial for NASA, an early milestone in his creative journey.
Today, Kevin lives in Oklahoma and works in philanthropy, where storytelling takes on a different kind of purpose. Whether through writing or his professional work, he is driven by the same idea: that stories have the power to connect people, to preserve meaning and to leave something behind that matters.
Outside of writing, Kevin enjoys photography, fishing, horse racing and traveling. He is an avid reader, a runner, and a fan of live music. He also plays the saxophone and tennis. His favorite artist is Chappell Roan, and his favorite novel is Meant to Be.
